First blog! Looking at the music!

I just got my new accompaniment the other day and I will be playing the flute along with the piano as a background. I took a good look at the piece before playing, and thought it would be quite a challenge, but once i started site reading some of it was actually pretty easy. From bars 5 to 13 it is the easiest part, it's pretty much the same pattern with easy to read notes and fingering. It is full slurs and staccatos which won't be too hard to get down in time, but for now it's a bit of a challenge but i can do it with some practise. Throughout the next 10 bars starting on 13, it's pretty much the same beat as the first couple lines, except higher notes. Once you get to the high notes and you have to play them at a faster tempo, it gets quite difficult. I find the high E natural hard to get down. There is no key signature throughout the piece, so it's different from most music. The dynamics aren't very difficult seeing as their simple, playing piano, forte and such. There aren't any crescendoes except for the last bar. The time signature is also different from other pieces of music, in most cases you play in 4/4 time, but here it's 2/4 time. The accidentals are pretty challenging in the last lines, but it shouldn't take too long before I can get them right. We'll see how this turns out!!
